Burst Pipe Repairs in Surfers Paradise

The four burst-pipe scenarios in Surfers and Broadbeach apartments:

1. Flexi hose burst in a unit. Same failure mode as everywhere, 7-10 year fatigue life. The added urgency in apartments is that water spreads to the unit below within minutes and you become liable for that damage too. Isolate at unit isolator (laundry or HWU cupboard) if you can find it, otherwise call the building manager to isolate at the common cold water valve. Repair, replace both hoses of pair, check every other flexi in the unit.
2. In-unit isolated HWU connection failure. Sometimes the HWU itself develops a leak at a fitting or hose. Isolate the HWU at its own isolation valve (usually right at the unit), call us. Repair varies depending on the failure point, $280-680.
